After we dropped Caleb off Friday morning and went to work, we ended up seeing a deer on the side of a very busy road. It was very random but cool to see!
Friday night we ended up putting Caleb in the jumper for the first time and he did pretty good in it! I think he will really enjoy it once he realizes what he is actually supposed to do.
Sabbath morning we went to church (didn't make it for Sabbath School) and I took Caleb up for the children's story for the first time, since he was awake and not eating. Auntie Jen did the story, so it was a good one to go up for.
Caleb fell asleep right at the end of church, but woke up shortly after we got home.
We had a bunch of people over to our house after church. We do this thing called "Guess Who's Coming to Dinner?" Everyone signs up to bring either a salad, vegetable, bread and drink, or dessert, and then the host makes the main course. It is easy for everyone and is a lot of fun. We had about 15 people at our house and many of them were kids. We had a good time. After everyone left we went for a walk in Osterville with a few people. It was a pretty nice afternoon and we had a very nice walk. Caleb slept about half of the way and then woke up and didn't want to be in the stroller anymore, so I carried him in the Baby Bjorn. Saturday evening David and Yully were at our house because Steve had to do something to their car that was supposed to take 15 minutes and ended up taking about an hour and a half.
Sunday was Easter, but we didn't really do anything special. I worked of course and then we took a nice walk because it was a beautiful day. Here is Caleb at the end of our walk.
Next year we will definitely do an easter egg hunt, but this year all we did was read a special story that Aunt Caroline & Uncle Corey gave Caleb. He really enjoyed the book and listened to the whole thing!
Monday was my birthday, so my mom had us over Sunday night for dinner. We had Rad and Jen, David and Yully, and Anthony and Tiffany over as well, so it was very nice. We had a great time and I got a lot of nice gifts. Caleb even gave me a gift (via Steve, of course), which was really cute. We were remembering that it was on my birthday last year that I told my parents and Rad and Jen that I was pregnant. There is definitely not another announcement this year, thank goodness! That would be too soon!! Here are some pictures from the "party".
So, Monday was my actual birthday, but since we were going to Maine for music clinic at the end of the week (today, actually), I worked on Monday and Wednesday this week, so I could have Friday off. So, it didn't really feel like my birthday, but that was ok. It will be so nice to go to Maine and see all of my family.
Tuesday I was home with Caleb and we went to the mall to exchange a shirt my mom got me for my birthday and to browse in Ann Taylor with a gift card I got. Caleb was very good at the mall and was awake the whole time and then fell asleep in the car on the way home. We took a walk that evening with Steve and the dogs, because it was a pretty nice day. Yesterday I worked and so my mom had Caleb for a second full day, since Rad and Jen usually take Caleb for half a day on Friday. He was very good for her and was asleep when we went to pick him up at the end of the day.
I'm getting all caught up with your blog!! Love all the pics!!
