No More Crawling, Bumps & Bruises, & Springtime is Here!

So Caleb has decided that he doesn't want to do any more crawling. When he first started walking, he could still crawl faster, so he would often drop to his knees instead of walking. Now, if he falls down, he will stand up and walk instead. It is pretty cute to watch him stand up like that. Now that he is walking all over the place now, he is getting more bumps and bruises. Here is a picture of a bump he got at Grammy's house, although that didn't actually have to do with him walking.

Last Friday Caleb and Grammy had a good day. They went to a big yard sale at a church and here is Caleb holding Grammy's purchases.

He doesn't look too impressed

We had an evangelistic series at our church last weekend, so Steve went to the meeting on Friday night while I stayed home and put Caleb to bed. The speaker is named Elizabeth Talbot, and she was really, really good. I actually was able to go to the Sabbath morning meeting while Steve took Caleb to Sabbath School. We stayed in church for awhile and then I took Caleb home for a nap. We still haven't been to a potluck since Caleb started his new nap schedule. I just don't know what to do because he can't stay awake until after potluck. Anyway, there was an afternoon meeting that I was able to go to after Caleb got up from his nap. He stayed in the meeting for awhile and was good, but then he started to get antsy, so my mom took him out so I could see the rest of the meeting. We didn't get home until after 4:30, so we just took the dogs for a walk and then fed Caleb supper.

I love this picture of Caleb and Rad talking on their phones (although Caleb's phone is Jen's glasses case)

On Sunday, I finally had a normal work day where I was able to get several hours of work done. Lately there have been things going on that prevent me from working that much, so then I have to work more hours later in the week. So, it was nice this week to be off to a good start and I was able to work 7 hours. After I was done working, we took the dogs for a walk and then Caleb and I went out and did some grocery shopping while Steve worked on the playroom. I didn't have to make supper on Sunday night because Steve had to leave early to go to the church for the meeting, so that was a nice break for me.

On Monday we went to Old Navy and a kids consignment store. I had gotten some gift cards to Old Navy for my birthday. I got a few things at both places, so it was a successful trip.

Caleb is obsessed with balls and I bought him this ball for $0.25 at Old Navy

Monday afternoon we spent some time outside because it was actually a pretty nice day. Caleb seems to enjoy being outside. I can't wait until summer when we can play in the pool and the sandbox!

Tuesday was a pretty rainy day, so we didn't spend any time outside. We went to our library play group and there were a few new babies there. Caleb seems so old now compared to all the other kids and I really have to keep an eye on him since there are little babies there, because he likes to throw balls and other things and he needs to be careful! Tuesday afternoon we went to another kids consignment store and got a few good things. I was especially happy to get some black dress shoes that Caleb will fit in the fall/winter.

He was covering the sound machine with the burp cloth, which is what I do all the time because it has a light on it

Yesterday morning I actually had to wake Caleb up around 6:30, which is unusual for this week. He had been waking up around 5:45 all week and of course, the day I have to go to work and he needs to be up by about 6:20 (I let him sleep a few extra minutes), he is not awake. I even went in and turned the light on low and then took a picture of him with the flash and he still didn't wake up! I felt bad waking him up but he woke up happy nonetheless, so it was fine.

Caleb had a good day with Grammy yesterday. She says that he is now into everything, which of course she didn't have to inform me about! They also went out and did some errands in the afternoon and they were at the RMV for an hour and my mom said Caleb made friends with all the people waiting there.

Love this smile!

Today we went out before our play group and did a couple of errands. Then we went to play group from 9:30-11:00. Today Caleb's 2 friends were there and actually no one else showed up except for the teacher's little girl, so it was fun for the 3 of them to play together and for us moms to talk. We have really made some nice friends and we are happy about that.

So cute of the 3 kids!

He liked to push this lawn mower around at play group

Well, that brings us up to date! Here are 2 more pictures to close! Have a good week!

I was trying to get a picture when he was pointing it at the TV

Daddy actually lets him touch the computer - Mommy doesn't because she is usually working
