I don't remember what else happened last Thursday. On Friday I worked and my mom had Caleb all day. My grandparents arrived around 4:00 in the afternoon and they were very happy to see Caleb. My Nana was especially excited that when she held out her arms Caleb went right to her. After we got home from work, we all went out to eat at Colombo's, an Italian restaurant that my parents had a gift card for. Unfortunately, Caleb had refused to nap all day for my mother, so he was tired, although still happy, at the restaurant. So we ducked out of there as soon as we could, but still had a nice dinner.
On Sabbath, we went to Sabbath School and I stayed a little longer at church than usual because we had a concert from Michael Harris for the church service and he is amazing.
Caleb was tired, though, so we went home and I put him to bed and then finished getting ready for lunch because we were having a lot of people over for Guess Who's Coming to Dinner. Church went really long because of the concert, so everyone didn't get home until almost 2:00. We had a very nice lunch and Caleb slept about 2 hours and then woke up and had his lunch. Nana and Grandpa had come to our house for lunch and they were the last to leave because we were visiting. Then we went with them over to my parents' house to continue visiting for awhile. I fed Caleb supper over there, so we didn't go back home until it was time to put Caleb to bed.
The cow makes noise, so Caleb kept stepping on it to make the noise
On Sunday, I worked for awhile in the morning and then we headed over to our church because there was a yard sale over there. Then Steve stayed and helped out with a work bee for awhile while Caleb and I went grocery shopping. Then we came home and I got ready to go to a baby shower for my cousin Brie. I went with my mom and Nana and it was about an hour away in Taunton. We had a fun time seeing lots of relatives that we don't see much and it was a very nice shower and she got a lot of nice things for her little girl (alas, I didn't take any pictures).
I didn't get home until almost 5:00. Steve was mowing the lawn when I got home and Caleb was just walking around outside. I remembered that I had bought him a bubble lawn mower a few days ago, so I went and got it and he enjoyed mowing the lawn with Daddy.
Then we took the dogs for a walk, ate supper, and did storytime and bath time and got Caleb ready for bed.
Monday I worked because Friday is Rad's law school graduation, so I can't work on Friday. So, my mom and Nana mostly took care of Caleb. After the no-nap fiasco on Friday, we decided to move Caleb's pack and play to the basement where it is pitch dark, and he napped great down there on Monday! I don't remember what else happened but I know Nana had a lot of fun getting to spend so much time with Caleb.
On Tuesday we had Caleb's 18 month doctor's appointment. We had to wait awhile in the exam room for the doctor, but Caleb didn't get too antsy. The doctor was very happy with his growth. His stats are:
Weight: 26 lb, 7 oz (78th percentile)
Height: 33 1/2 inches (83rd percentile)
I didn't really have any questions for her and everything checked out great, so once she arrived, it was a quick appointment. Then he had to get his shots and he did not do too well. He screamed after getting the second one, but luckily he got over it quickly.
My dentist appointment went ok and I made Caleb's first dentist appointment as well. He is going to go in July.
Yesterday I worked again all day and my mom and Nana watched Caleb. He slept pretty good again in the basement, so that is good. I think they also had some fun playing outside, although it wasn't a very nice day.
Well, that's about it. A quick update this week. Next week's post will be much more exciting because I will get to post pictures and write about Rad's graduation. We are so excited for tomorrow and so proud of him!
I love the picture of your two boys mowing the lawn together! Adorable!
