Two Sundays ago was a normal Sunday. I worked most of the day, but I was also able to take a couple of hours in the morning to go to a consignment sale in Sandwich. I got a lot of good things at 50% off, which is great! Steve had Caleb try riding a bike for the first time. He had fun but doesn't really get the hang of the pedals yet.
On Monday we had our play group and it was a really nice day, so we enjoyed being outside for part of it.
Two weeks ago was not a good nap week, which was very frustrating. I think Caleb didn't nap at all the 3 days during the week that I was home. He did nap on Wednesday and Friday for Grammy, but not for me. This week has been better, but more on that in a minute.
On Tuesday, we had our music class and I did get a couple of pictures this time. Towards the end, there is a song where the teacher has stuffed animals and scarves and wants the kids to be quiet and cuddle with them. Caleb was being silly with the scarves and also wanted to wrap up one of the animals, which was cute.
On Wednesday, Caleb was with Grammy. I can't remember what they did that long ago, but they might have gone to the mall and went on the carousel. My mom texted me a picture where Caleb had his eyes closed which was funny.
I am not really sure what we did on Thursday either. At some point last week I got Caleb a new water table at Toys R Us, but I think it was before Thursday. Caleb really likes playing with water outside, and he does like his new water table!
Last Friday when my mom had Caleb, she had to do something for an hour, so Jen watched him. Caleb had fun playing with Auntie Jen and then when Grammy came back, they got some really cute pictures of Caleb and Levi together.
On Friday night, we had supper at my parents' house with Karon Watt, who is Camille's mother. She had interviewed to be the second teacher at our school next year and accepted the job, which is great!
Last Sabbath, we headed up to Caroline and Corey's church for church to meet up with Steve's family. Every year on Mother's Day weekend, they go into Boston to the Arnold Arboretum to see the lilacs in bloom. We hadn't seen them since the end of February, so we wanted to go see them. We got there in time for church and had lunch at the church afterwards and then headed in to Boston. We had a nice afternoon walking around and seeing the lilacs. At one point, Caleb took quite a tumble down a big hill, but he shook it off and was all right.
On Sunday, it was Mother's Day. Unfortunately, I still had to work to make sure I got in all of my hours for the week. So, I worked most of the day and then after Caleb's nap, we went over to see my mom because all she wanted for Mother's Day was for "us" to build her a raised bed in her backyard to plant some vegetables. Of course that really meant that Steve did all the work, but Rad was there for moral support and Caleb and I just watched. She was happy, so that's all that matters. Sunday night we had a church banquet at a hotel as part of our building project. It was supposed to only go until 7:30 but of course we were behind schedule so I ended up having to leave early with Caleb so he could get to bed.
On Monday I worked because my mom is leaving on Thursday for 3 weeks and she was nice enough to babysit Caleb on Monday and Wednesday so I didn't have to find someone for Friday. In the afternoon, they went to the playground with Jen and Levi.
On Tuesday, we had music class and Caleb took a tumble and got a pretty big scratch on his head. He didn't cry, but it looks pretty bad.
On Wednesday, I worked again and Caleb and Grammy had a very busy day because Grammy was getting ready to leave for her trip on Thursday. But they still had fun. They did get Caleb's hair cut, which I was so ready for!!
On Thursday, we did some shopping in the morning and then we took a nice long walk with Jen and Levi in the afternoon.
On Friday, we went to visit some people that I work with in Mashpee and then headed to the Mashpee Children's Museum because I had a coupon that expired the end of May and I didn't think I would have another chance to use it before then. Caleb had a fun time doing lots of things at the museum.

Last night we went to Rad and Jen's for supper, which was very nice since my parents are gone. Now that Levi is sitting in a high chair, it is nice because we can all sit together at the table!
One thing that we have been doing differently these past two weeks is transitioning Caleb from just using a sleep sack at naptime and bedtime and he is now using a little pillow and a blanket. It has been a little bit of an adjustment because if he kicks the blanket off during the night, he will yell for us to come put the blanket back on. Also, at first he felt constrained by it and if he was laying on his back and wanted to turn over to his stomach he didn't think he could, so he would yell "I want to roll over" and we would have to get up and help him roll over. Luckily, everything is getting a little better and it is actually helping him fall asleep faster at both naptime and bedtime. I think since he does feel a little more constrained, he is less likely to be moving all over the place instead of sleeping. So, this week he has napped every day, which is a much better week than last week! Unfortunately, on Thursday he came down with a cough that is a real pain. He woke up a couple of times on Thursday night crying because he was coughing so much. He napped ok on Friday, but it was a little short because again he woke up coughing. Last night was preparing us for having a newborn again. He was awake 3-4 times coughing and crying, and then one time he coughed so hard, he threw up all over his crib and his floor so we had to change his sheets and pajamas, etc. Needless to say, we were all very tired this morning. But the cough is still here, so when I tried to get him to nap this morning, he slept for 10 minutes then woke up coughing and crying. I gave him some cough medicine and he went back to sleep only to wake up 30 minutes later, coughing and crying. This time I just gave him water and picked him up and sat in the rocking chair with him and he conked out on my shoulder again, but only for about 20 minutes. This afternoon we tried again with the nap and he slept 30 minutes before waking up coughing and crying, but then finally after that, he finally slept for another almost 2 hours. He is still coughing, but hopefully the worst is behind us and he has a better night tonight.
Steve has made amazing progress in Kaitlyn's room these last 2 weeks. It is all painted, the crib is set up, the glider is set up, and we finally ordered a dresser, so that is the last piece of furniture we need. Then I can start putting things in it! The closet still has to be finished, so hopefully that will happen this week, but things are really starting to come together.
Unfortunately, I have deteriorated in the morning sickness department. This pregnancy I have thrown up every day without fail, which is much different than with Caleb. For awhile it was only once a day, but a couple of weeks ago it turned into twice a day and now this week, I have thrown up 3 times a day almost every day. I am very frustrated and upset by it, but I am just taking one day at a time and am happy that this will be my last pregnancy! I am only about 8 1/2 weeks away from having her, so it will be over soon. Rad asked me a little while ago if I had started to count down the number of times I have left to throw up, but it still seems like a lot to me, so no, I have not started to count down!
