Starting to Get Warm Out!

Last Friday was a normal day for us. My mom watched Caleb in the morning and Rad and Jen watched him in the afternoon. Here is a picture Rad texted me of Caleb at their house.

Friday night we had supper at my parents' house with Rad and Jen, because it had been awhile since we were all together. My mom made blueberry pancakes, and they were great! It was nice to spend time with everyone. Sabbath we went to church and of course, spent most of the church service in the mother's room. Here is a picture Steve took while we were there and a picture on the way home from church.

After church, we went to my parents' house for lunch. We originally thought it was potluck at church, but the schedule changed this month because of an evangelistic series we are having. David and Yully came for lunch too and they had just gotten a dog! They got a cockapoo they named Toby and he is very cute. He is only 9 weeks old and he was very good!

Late Sabbath afternoon we went on a walk with some church members to see the herring run upstream. It was a cooler afternoon than we originally thought, so it wasn't that nice, but it was fun to get out and be with people. Here are a couple of pictures from the walk.

On Sunday, I worked for about 6 hours while Steve took care of Caleb. Caleb slept until 7:30, so Steve was able to feed him instead of me having to take an hour out of my morning to feed him. It always works better that way, because then I am done working earlier and Steve is "off-duty" earlier. Here are a couple of pictures from while Steve was watching him. Steve picked out the outfit, because the shirt said "handyman" on it and the overalls were Carhartt brand, which I had never heard of, but they are worker clothes and Steve was excited that we had them.

After I was done working, we went to Olive Garden for lunch. They had a special called Buy One, Take One that was ending on Sunday and we wanted to take advantage of it. For $12.95 you could get one meal at the restaurant and then they sent another meal home with you! Caleb had just eaten and had napped before that, so he was pretty well behaved at the restaurant. After we ate, we took advantage of having Steve with us and we went to Babies 'R Us to get a crabbie sandbox (that I would never have been able to get into the van by myself) and to BJ's to get some bigger items like dogfood, diapers, and toilet paper that I can't usually fit all into my cart when I have Caleb with me. So, it was a very productive day. Steve also had a productive day, because he started to clear a lot of the brush down by the road in our front yard. He has been wanting to do that for awhile and he was happy to finally have the opportunity. It is really looking good!

Monday was a good day for Caleb and I. He slept good for me and I was able to get a lot of work done that day. He also took a pretty good nap. My method is continuing to work! We also took a walk in the afternoon in the baby Bjorn, which was nice. We took another walk with the dogs when Steve came home. Here are a couple of random pictures from Monday of Caleb doing really well on his tummy.

Tuesday was another good day. It was really warm, even for the Cape! Caleb got up around 5:30 but then went back to sleep from 6:30-9:00, so that was great for me to get a lot of work done again. It is also a little easier for me to get some work done while he is awake, now that he loves the johnny jump-up and it entertains him. We took a nice 2-mile walk in the stroller on Tuesday afternoon and I was in a short-sleeve shirt. That might be the first time I have worn a short-sleeve shirt this year, so that is exciting! Here are a couple of pictures from Tuesday.

Yesterday I worked. I am pretty busy at work right now, so the time goes by pretty quickly. Caleb had a good day with my mom. They went out to Indian food for the office lunch and paid a missionary visit to one of our elderly church members. And of course, Grampy couldn't wait to get his hands on Caleb at lunch. Here are a couple of cute pictures my mom texted me. I love the second picture of Caleb with my dad! It is so sweet!

When we went to pick Caleb up at my mom's house, this is what we found. So cute!!

We took a walk when we got home last night and it was also bath night. I took a couple of pictures of Caleb in the bath. Here is a cute one. He always has his mouth open to lick or bite things.

Well, that's about it. Here are a few more pictures from this week!

He is always happy when he wakes up first thing in the morning! Lucky me!
